FBi Radio Turns 20

Since 2003, FBi Radio has been at the forefront of Sydney’s independent music, arts, and culture. In 2023, the station celebrated its 20th birthday with three live and on-air features: a supporter drive,  a week of special on-air programming, a block party/fundraiser across three venues.

The FBi team wanted to develop a recognisable wordmark for its main event—the block party and fundraiser—and then build on it to create a common yet distinct visual language for all three parts of the campaign.

The supporter drive that was set to happen a couple months prior echoed the upcoming event with the ‘20’ but used unique colours and introduced hand-drawn elements and a distinct colour palette.







As for the special on-air programming showcasing the station’s 20 most played Sydney artists, the visual language featured 20 illustrations of the number twenty, showcasing an eclectic range of Sydney’s local talent.
